Bovine Serum Albumin (5%, in PBST)

5% BSA in PBST combines the blocking and stabilizing properties of BSA with the added detergent Tween-20, which further reduces nonspecific binding and background signal. This formulation is commonly used for blocking membranes and plates, as well as for antibody dilution, in Western blot and ELISA protocols where low background is critical.
