The Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) Buffer in PBST is used in laboratories to stabilize enzymes during reactions, enhance signals in immunoassays through non-specific binding. BSA is used as a diluent of primary and secondary antibodies for immunoassays and as a blocking agent. The presence of BSA helps to maintain the integrity of other proteins by protecting against potential denaturation or degradation.
