Product Description
0.5N Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) solution is a reliable pH regulation tool for laboratory processes. NaOH is a strong base, and dissociates completely in water into Sodium (Na+) and Hydroxide (OH-) ions, increasing the level of hydroxide ions in solution, and thus effectively increasing the pH. Aqueous NaOH can be diluted to be used as a titrating agent for procedures involving increasing the pH of reagents, manipulating the solubility of some reagents, or as a general reagent.
